Microgrid controller testing using Hardware in the Loop 

13 bus microgrid

This demo covers testing of a complete 13 bus microgrid with multiple industrial distributed energy resource (DER) controllers.

No modifications were made to the controller hardware or software while using this hardware in the loop testing technique.

This demo includes:

• Topology based on Lincoln Labs Microgrid Symposium 2015.
• 2 unique solar inverter controllers (in the loop)
• 1 Woodward diesel genset controller (in the loop)
• Fault injection (LVRT)
• Variable load profile
• Relay protection testing
