Webinar: Advanced Hardware in the Loop (HIL) techniques for design, testing, and pre-certification of smart inverter controllers

From real-time power electronics modeling and rapid control prototyping, to effortless runtime controller testing, all the way to grid code pre-certification

We use a three-phase grid-tie battery inverter example to demonstrate a complete controller design flow and highlight, every step of the way, the most important features of the new release of Typhoon HIL software 2016.3. In particular, we will cover:

  • How to deploy advanced signal processing toolbox for rapid control prototyping and power measurements.
  • A new capability to build and run HIL models even without HIL hardware by simulating models on your laptop using a “virtual HIL” target.
  • Best practices for runtime controller testing and fault injection using the Typhoon’s Custom User Interface and Python scripts.
  • Controller test automation.
  • How to prepare HIL models for grid code pre-certification in Test Suite toolbox.
