Validate EVSE Charging Communication Protocols

Overview

As global economies advance aiming on more sustainable development, governmental policies in the transportation sector and vehicle industry push towards the adoption of all-electric powered vehicles. This expansion scenario has considerable challenges to overcome in our current distribution systems if an immense number of electric vehicles (EVs) are considered. In addition, there is also a need for robust communication infrastructure linking charging stations, distribution system operators, charging point operators, and drivers.

In this sense, the development of EV charging systems not only needs to coordinate various operations, but also coordinate its implementation with renewable energy resources and distribution system restrictions. This combination will pave the way to safe and cost-effective solutions.

Join CERTI Foundation as they present their recent project successes and on-going developments in the e-Mobility space and discuss how HIL design, testing, and validation has accelerated their time to market.

In this webinar, attendees will learn about:

  • Simulation and testing for e-parks with multiple EVSEs and DERs;
  • How to avoid risks and high costs by using hardware-in-the-loop (HIL) while validating energy management systems;
  • Open Charge Point Protocol (OCPP) real-time validation in Typhoon HIL;
  • Development and testing with multiple communication protocols in Typhoon HIL (CAN, CANopen and Modbus).
